How to register UFS Online 2024-2025

This page serves as a guide for enrolling in UFS Online for the 2024-2025 academic year.

To register for UFS, follow these steps:

  • Accept your admission offer by visiting the link provided (https://www.ufs.ac.za/studyoffer).
  • Log in to the Oracle PeopleSoft system using your student ID and password.
  • Access the PeopleSoft Student Homepage and locate the Tasks tile. Look for the task titled “Registration 2021” in the Tasks section.
  • Complete the tasks listed on the Student Task WorkCentre page. You can log out and log back in to continue working on the tasks until they are finished.
  • Verify your proof of registration, which will include the modules (courses) you selected during the registration process. The Proof of Registration will be linked in an email sent to you after registration, and you can also find it on the Student Centre page.

The University of the Free State (UFS) has three campuses: Bloemfontein, Qwaqwa, and South Campus. With a rich history of nearly 115 years, it offers a wide range of programs through its 114 departments.

Here are the important dates for online registration:

  • Senior students in the Health Sciences Faculty can register online from January 10 to January 31, 2024.
  • Seniors can register and request academic assistance online from January 17 to February 18, 2024.
  • Honors students’ lectures will commence on January 31, 2024, unless otherwise specified.
  • First-year students in the Faculty of Health Sciences can register online from January 31 to February 18, 2024.
  • First-year students can register online and receive academic counseling from February 1 to February 18, 2024.
  • Classes for all students will begin on February 21, 2024.

Returning to campus in 2024 and vaccination requirements:

Starting from February 14, 2024, all staff, enrolled students, and visitors who have not received the SARS vaccine must upload a weekly negative SARS (COVID-19) PCR test or provide a written exemption from the Vaccination Exemption Committee to access the campus. Individuals who have been vaccinated and have their vaccination certificate recorded in the UFS system can use a permanent QR code and their staff or student campus access card for campus entry.
