If you need to change or reset your MyNsfas portal password and have your ID number and registered mobile phone, the process is straightforward. Follow the steps below to create a new password.
How To Recover Your MyNsfas Account Password
If you wish to reset your myNSFAS portal password, here are the steps to follow:
- Visit www.nsfas.org.za.
- Click on the myNSFAS account.
- Select ‘forgot password.’
- Enter your ID number.
- Choose one of the following options:
- I can’t remember my username
- I can’t remember my password
- I can’t remember my username and password
- Click ‘submit.’
- A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS and email to the cellphone number and email address you provided. This OTP is valid for 24 hours.
- Enter the OTP number in the provided field.
- Click ‘submit.’
- You will receive an email and SMS containing a link to reset your login details.
- Click on the link received via SMS or email.
- Follow the reset process.
- Create a new password by following the on-screen instructions.
- Click ‘submit.’
How To Update Your Account Details With NSFAS
To make changes to your National Student Financial Aid Scheme account, follow these steps:
- Visit nsfas.org.za.
- Use the “already registered” option to enter your username and password.
- Click the ‘sign in’ button.
- Go to ‘My Personal Details’ and update the incorrect cell phone number (the same can be done for other incorrect information).
