Starting in April of the 2024-2025 academic year, individuals who meet the requirements will be able to begin submitting online applications for admission to Rhodes University (RU). It is highly recommended that all prospective students interested in attending Rhodes University (RU) submit an online application before the application deadline for the 2024 class. You can submit your application to the university through our online application system.

Entry requirements

Your application will only be considered for admission to the university if you meet both the faculty requirements and the eligibility requirements for a Bachelor’s degree. To obtain a Bachelor’s pass, students must successfully complete seven courses, with four being mandatory (two languages, Life Orientation, and either Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy), and they can choose three additional courses from the school’s available options.

To graduate from Rhodes University, you must achieve the following grades:

Proficiency in the English language with a score of 4 or higher (50-59 percent).
At least four of the seven subjects listed below must be chosen from the recommended subjects.
Additionally, students must have at least a 4 achievement rating (50-59 percent).

Online enrollment for Rhodes

Please visit https://ross.ru.ac.za to create an account for the system using your email address and password. Subsequently, you will receive an email containing a link to activate your account. Click on the link to activate your registration. Once you return to ROSS, you must select the Admission/Other buttons (it is crucial to click the appropriate button). Following that, you can log in using the username and password you created in step 1.
After completing your application, click the button to confirm your acceptance of the terms and conditions. Once your application is submitted, the R100 application fee must be paid. There are multiple payment options available within the system. If you paid your application fee with a deposit slip from your bank, please send us an email with your application number in the subject line.
Upon completion of the aforementioned steps, your application will be processed, and you will receive a student number and a login.
