A notable change is that South African Post Office branches will no longer handle SASSA R350 SRD grant disbursements.

SASSA emphasizes that there are no fixed payment dates for SRD grant recipients.

Beneficiaries are advised to await an SMS notification before attempting to withdraw the grant from authorized merchants or banks. For those without banking details, there is the option to collect the grant in cash from Post Office branches (SAPO/Post Bank), Pick-N-Pay, or Boxer stores.

It’s important to mention that the SASSA SRD R350 program has been extended for an additional 12 months, running until March 2024.
