Stenden University South Africa Online Application 2024-2025

Stenden South Africa was established in 2002 in the Grand Hotel in Port Alfred. The hotel was transformed into a university campus to accommodate students, and it was initially known as EISS (The Educational Institute for Service-Learning Stenden University). In 2008, it became Stenden South Africa after a merger between CHN University and Drenthe University, with the addition of “South Africa” to comply with regulations on the use of the term “university” in the country.

Stenden College of Applied Sciences is a global institution with locations in the Netherlands, Qatar, South Africa, Thailand, and Indonesia. It offers various programs in Management, Education, Welfare, Economics, and Technology, and students can study at different Stenden locations worldwide through the “Grand Tour” concept. With over 800 employees and approximately 11,000 students, including 2,500 international students from 65 countries, Stenden College provides Associate Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, 6 Master’s Degrees, 13 “Lectorates,” and knowledge networks.

Stenden South Africa is a campus of Stenden University of Applied Sciences, offering local students Bachelor of Business Administration programs in Hospitality Management and Disaster Management, as well as minor programs for “Grand Tour” students. These courses are authorized by the South African Department of Education and approved by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

For the 2024 admission, applications open on May 1 and close on August 31. To be eligible, candidates must be at least 18 years old, in good standing at their home school, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing is required at the program start, and applicants must have completed at least three semesters of coursework when enrolling at the UCT. Students with sophomore standing may have limited eligibility for some local university courses, and additional documentation may be required for GPAs below 3.0.
