UFS is currently accepting online applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. Prospective students can conveniently submit their applications to the University of the Free State (UFS) online. It is important to note that applications for the class of 2024 have already begun, so it is advisable to apply as early as possible to secure your place.
Here are the deadlines for UFS applications:
- September 1st: Applications for any University Access Programme (UAP) offered on the South Campus and sub-regions.
- May 31st: Deadline for MBChB, Optometry, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Biokinetics, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, and Nursing.
- August 31st: Deadline for international undergraduate applications.
- September 30th: Deadline for Geology, Forensic Sciences, Music, Social Work, Community Development, All Non-Selection Programs, and Transfer Students from Other Tertiary Institutions.
- November 1st: Deadline for Fine Arts applications.
- November 30th: Deadline for all University Access Programs on the South Campus and sub-regions.
UFS offers various courses and programs across nine faculties,
- including Economic and Management Sciences, Education, Health Sciences, The Humanities, Law, Natural and Agricultural Sciences, and Theology and Religion. Additionally, UFS provides Open Distance Learning and a Business School. Students also have the opportunity to participate in over 22 different sports.
For Health Sciences programs, specific selection forms are available for the School for Allied Health Professionals, occupational therapy, and medical certificate applications. If you prefer a paper application, an Application Form can also be found.
