Varsity College Online application requirements 2024-2025

The IIE Varsity College Admission requirements are influenced by factors such as the type of course, academic level, and nationality of the applicant. Universities have the authority to set entry requirements based on their internal policies and preferences. These requirements are designed to ensure that students possess the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully complete their chosen courses.

The Varsity College Online Application is open from July 1 to November 30, and prospective students are encouraged to apply early for the 2024 academic year through the online application portal or by submitting a hard copy.

Here are the general Varsity College Admission Requirements:

For entry to NVC at NQF Level 2:
- Completion of an approved bridging program for NQF Level 2 access.
- Year-end report for grades 9, 10, 11, or 12.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the fundamental requirements.
For admission to degree programs (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent):
- Endorsement on your NSC or NCV that grants admission to degree programs.
- Meeting all minimum admission requirements for the chosen program. Meeting these requirements doesn’t guarantee admission due to limited spots available.
- Proficiency in the chosen language of instruction (Afrikaans or English) at a minimum level of 4 (or 50%) for specific programs.
- Meeting specific school subject requirements for certain university modules. Refer to the faculty-specific admission requirements for details.

Required Documents for Varsity College Application:

Certified copy of ID or passport.
Certified Grade 11 exam results or National Senior, Matric, or IEB Certificate (if already completed).
Certified copies of academic records and degree certificates from previous universities (if applicable).
Certified copy of marriage certificate (if applicable).
Documentation of payment for the non-refundable R200.00 application fee.

For hard copy applications, keep in mind:

Postgraduate applicants have two distinct applications.
Hardcopy applicants must pay R120 for the application.
Late applications for postgraduates will be accepted until December 31 with a R250 application fee.
Your application must include certified copies of the required documents, including the deposit slip.
If needed, complete the application for student housing and indicate your preference.
