To ensure your application reaches the University of the Witwatersrand, all admissions applications must be submitted online during the designated application period. It is advisable to submit your application before the deadline and carefully review whether you have included all the required WITS Online Application Documents. Application Closure Dates:

Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Audiology, and Bachelor of Speech-Language Pathology degrees will be available until June 30, 2024, through the Health Sciences Faculty (all programs). The BS in television and film will also have the same deadline. All other University programs will close in September 2024.

Payment of the Application Fee:

The application fee of R100 is non-refundable for citizens of South Africa. For foreign nationals, the non-refundable application fee is R700. Payments must be made before the specified deadlines, and you should use your Person Number or T Number as a reference.

You can pay the fee at the fee counters using cash, credit card, electronic funds transfer (EFT), or bank transfer. If you are currently enrolled at Wits and apply online, there will be no application fee.

You can pay at the University of the Witwatersrand’s Fees Office, located on the ground floor of the Senate House, with cash or a credit card. Please use the appropriate payment reference number, such as P130000, L130000, or D130000, to reference your application.
