UP Information on online applications

  • By clicking on a link in the message, you can easily access the University of Pretoria’s online study application system.
  • This URL provides a one-time, unique token for your online study application. Copy and paste this link into your browser’s address bar to access the University of Pretoria’s online application page. You only need to submit one online application for each program you wish to apply to. Remember to complete each of the four steps accurately to ensure a successful application launch. Once your online application has been processed, you will be assigned an EMPLIID (student identification number).
  • Please note that receiving an EMPLIID student number does not imply acceptance to the University of Pretoria. To enable direct communication from the University of Pretoria, provide your postal and email addresses.

You will not be able to submit your application online until you have completed the following steps:

  • Completed the online application for studies. Uploaded all required supporting documents in PDF format. Paid the application fee. Clicked “APPLY” after confirming the application. If you have not clicked “APPLY,” your form has not been submitted.

Once your application has been successfully submitted:

  • You will no longer be able to make changes to your application. You will receive your assigned student number (EMPLID) via email. On the student portal, you can find important instructions on how to check your application and track its progress.
