The University of the Free State (UFS) welcomes you to its application process for the 2024-2025 academic year. Through our online application system, you can conveniently apply to UFS from anywhere.   • The University of the Free State (UFS) is now accepting online applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. The application period for undergraduate programs at the Bloemfontein and Qwaqwa Campuses will be from 1 April 2023 to 31 August 2023. For Access Programs (AP) offered on the South Campus and sub-regions, the application period will be from 1 July 2023 to 31 August 2023. It is important to note that late applications will not be accepted for the 2024 academic year.
  • To apply online for UFS in 2024, visit the official website of the university at https://apply.ufs.ac.za/Application/Start. We recommend applying as early as possible to secure your place, as there is limited space available for programs.

When submitting your application, ensure that you provide all the required documents and accurately complete the application form. Failure to do so may cause delays in the application process and could impact your admission and registration for your chosen qualification.

Online Undergraduate Application for the University of the Free State (UFS):

Prospective students interested in enrolling in the undergraduate program at UFS can apply online. To apply online for the UFS undergraduate program, please visit the university’s official website and follow the application process outlined there.

Required documents for UFS 2024 applications include:

  • South African citizens: ID document
  • International students: Passport
  • Applicants younger than 18: Parent’s ID or passport
  • Final Grade 11 results with the school’s stamp
  • Matriculated applicants: National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Grade 12 IEB certificate
  • Academic record for previous tertiary education, if applicable
